If you’re looking for a great way to add additional seating and storage in your kitchen, consider a window bench and creating banquet seating.

I just finished building one and it was easy to do and looks amazing.

I began by removing the baseboards and building a base from pine, leaving an opening for the heat register.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next was to add two stock Ikea kitchen cabinets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next was to add a top and a piece on the front.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then came the doors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then a little trim and some cushions.
