About Us

At DISTINCTIVE SPACES, we provide complete design and renovation services. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and believe in collaborating with our clients to create a space that is as unique as you are. A space that is truly yours.

From an in-depth discussion of your wants and needs, we will create a plan that fits your budget and then execute that plan. We will be in constant communication with you, so you understand where we are at, every step of the way.

Whether it’s a bathroom, kitchen, basement or main floor renovation, we will do all of the necessary framing, painting, flooring, trim work, tiling or custom cabinetry. We will engage the services of structural engineers, plumbers and electricians as required to fulfill your needs safely. By doing the vast majority of the work ourselves, we are better able to control costs and timelines.

We are extremely proud of the work that we do, and we believe that is reflected in our results.

Please enjoy viewing our work and we hope that you will give us the opportunity to create a unique and distinctive space for you.

    Hi Jim,
I came upon your blog from barnboardstore.com, and I’m intrigued by your interest in designing small spaces. We are the owner of 1925workbench.com that makes and sell the sliding barn door hardware, custom doors and furniture for home. We started because we fixed up our very small house and the sliding barn door was used for a powder room to save space in our small backroom. It’s nice to you know you’ve dedicated your creativity to small spaces! Thank you!

Hello Jim from the great state of South Carolina!
We are building a small cottage, and I came across your blog while gathering ideas.
You have an ingenious use of space, and I hopefully can use some of your ideas in our 480 square foot home.
    Thanks so much!
